Graduation Procedure for the Bachelor of Biology Program

Students can graduate from the study program by meeting the requirement of obtaining a minimum of 144 credits, with 6 credits allocated for the thesis. In the first semester, students are enrolled in a package of 24 credits, while the credit load in subsequent semesters is determined based on student performance. Students with a low GPA are restricted in the number of credits they can take, while students with a high GPA are allowed to take the maximum number of credits each semester. In general, the undergraduate program at the University of Lampung is designed to be completed within four academic years, with a maximum study duration of seven years.

The determination of the credit load for each course is based on several indicators, including discussions with responsible peer groups and consultations with professional associations. The student load per credit is regulated in the Rector's Regulation of the University of Lampung Number 19 of 2020 concerning Academic Regulations, as outlined in Appendix X3, where each credit taken by students consists of 50 minutes of face-to-face meetings per week per semester, 60 minutes of structured assignments per week per semester, and 60 minutes of independent learning per week per semester. The credit load for each course is manageable because the curriculum is designed to align with the study program level. Additionally, the student credit load is also regulated based on the academic achievement (GPA) of the student from the previous semester, which reflects the student's abilities.
