A proud achievement has once again been accomplished by a student of the Biology Department. Vika Aulia Royani, an undergraduate student of the Biology Study Program, class of 2023, successfully secured 3rd place in the University-Level Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) at the University of Lampung in 2026.

This achievement was attained through her creative idea entitled “Strategic Biological Risk Monitoring for Mining Governance in Lampung.” The proposed idea highlights the importance of biological risk monitoring in supporting sustainable mining governance, particularly in the Lampung region. The approach integrates biological sciences with environmental policy aspects, offering a scientific perspective to minimize ecological impacts resulting from mining activities.

During the selection process, participants were evaluated through multiple stages, including academic and non-academic achievements, scientific writing, as well as presentation and English communication skills. Through hard work, consistency, and strong dedication, Vika demonstrated her capability as a highly competitive and outstanding student.

This achievement is not only a personal milestone for Vika but also a source of pride for the entire academic community of the Biology Department. It is hoped that this accomplishment will inspire other students to continuously strive for excellence, foster innovation, and actively contribute to addressing environmental and sustainability challenges.
