In an effort to improve the quality of learning in higher education, the University of Lampung encourages 7 study programs to apply for international accreditation. One of them is Biology Undergraduate Study Program. The target institution is an accreditation institution from Germany, namely ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik). The preparation stage has been carried out since mid-2021, starting with the formation of a task force, workshops with companions from partner universities, updating the curriculum and programs, and compiling a Self Assessment Report (SAR) consisting of 6 criteria. Accreditation assistant for PS S1 Biology comes from the Department of Physics, Universitas Airlangga Surabaya, Herri Trilaksana, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. The preparation activities for ASIIN international accreditation are fully supported by the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty under the leadership of the Dean Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, M.T., as well as the National and International Accreditation Center of LP3M University of Lampung under the command of Priyambodo, S.Pd., M.Sc. Head of ASIIN International Accreditation Task Force Team for Biology Study Program, Endang L. Widiastuti, Ph.D. said that this activity was a step from the Biology Undergraduate Study Program to improve the quality of the tri dharma in the PS environment, especially in the field of Education. With the hope that the S1 Biology Study Program will be internationally accredited by the ASIIN institution, the quality of education in the Biology S1 Study Program environment can be within the international standards that have been set, so that the vision and mission of the Biology S1 Study Program can be realized immediately, as well as to provide a more actual educational experience for all students. in Study Program.
